As a photographer, you know first-hand how important it is to plan a successful and memorable wedding. Here are a few tips for newly engaged couples to help ensure their big day is a success:

Set a budget: Determine how much you can afford to spend on your wedding and stick to it. This will help narrow down your options and keep you on track. Don't forget to factor in hidden costs, such as taxes and other on the go expenses.

Choose a venue: Start by deciding on the type of wedding you want (e.g. outdoor, indoor, formal, casual) and then look for venues that fit your vision. Consider the size of your guest list, any special requirements (e.g. accessibility, catering), and the location.

Book your vendors: Once you have a venue, start booking your vendors, including a professional photographer. Research and compare prices and reviews before deciding. Recommended venue stylist (Sophisticated Shindigs, Hull)

Create a guest list: Decide who you want to invite to your wedding and create a list. This will help you determine the size of your venue and your budget

Think about what formal pictures you may want. Remember each picture adds more time to the process so consider what pictures are important and which ones could be done in a more relaxed atmosphere throughout the day.

Choose a wedding party: Select your bridesmaids and groomsmen and consider asking close friends or family members to be part of your ceremony as readers or musicians.

Plan the details: Start thinking about the details of your wedding, such as the colour scheme, flowers, music, and menu. Don't forget to also plan for transportation (Wedding Cars), accommodations, and any activities for out-of-town guests.

Take care of the legalities: Make sure to obtain a marriage license and consider hiring an officiant to perform the ceremony. Checkout what you require at “Marriages and civil partnerships in England and Wales”

By following these tips and staying organised, you can plan a beautiful and stress-free wedding. Good luck and congratulations again on your engagement!
