There’s no single “right” time to start wedding photography — it all depends on what you want captured.
Some couples love having photos of morning preparations. This usually includes getting ready, details like dresses and flowers, and those quiet moments before everything begins. Others prefer coverage to start closer to the ceremony.
If you’re having a later ceremony, starting a little earlier allows for relaxed coverage without rushing. It also gives flexibility if timings shift slightly — which they often do.
For smaller weddings or shorter celebrations, part-day coverage can be perfect. You’ll still have all the important moments captured without committing to a full day.
When couples book with me, we always chat through timings together. That way, photography fits naturally into your day rather than dictating it.
